Golden Hour Glowy Makeup Tutorial.

Golden hour, a term for when the bright sun is setting and is right in your face. It’s not as painful as it sounds, and it actually creates beautiful pictures. Because the sun is shining on you, your face looks naturally flawless and glowy and it looks like you’ve just stepped down from the heavens. Today, I’m going to teach you a super simple and natural makeup tutorial on how to achieve this glowy look! It’s super easy… trust me if I can do it, everyone can.

Let’s hop in! ❤️

1. Primer and Foundation // BB Cream

Primer is an optional step; nevertheless, I like to use it so my pores have some sort of protection. After primer, apply your base. If you want more full coverage, a foundation is better. However, if you want the more natural look, BB Creams are the way to go. I like to use the MAC Studio Fix Foundation in the shade NC15. This helps create the illusion of flawless skin.

2. Concealer

For concealer, I do little triangles under my eyes and apply it on my acne and acne scars. I also apply it on my chin and the forehead. This gives your skin a brightening effect. I like using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in the shade Fair Clair.

3.Bronzing and Blush

Next up for bronzing, I use the E.L.F Cosmetics Bronzer in the color Warm. This helps give your face more definition and color. Then for blush, I use CoverGirl Instant Cheekbones Blush. Apply the blush on the apples on your cheeks and the bronzer on the cheekbones.

4. Highlight, Highlight, Highlight

What’s a glowy makeup look without the glow? Highlighting is the most important (and best) part of this look. I absolutely love highlight, something about having sparkles on my face gets me excited? Anyways, my favorite highlighter is from Fenty Beauty in the color Starstruck. If you love highlighter, I 100% recommend Rihanna’s makeup line!

5. Setting Powder

After you are done with applying your base makeup, use a setting powder to stop your making from moving during the day. I enjoy using Maybelline Fit Me Powder in the number 130. I enjoy this powder because it helps with oil control.

6. Eyebrows

Now that we are done with the base, we’re gonna start on the eyes. Personally, I start with eyebrows. To fill them in I use my favorite eyebrow product, the Benefit Goof Proof Eyepencil in number 2. Fill them in, to your liking. I enjoy more natural brows, so I draw light lines and fill them just a bit. That way they are defined and shaped, but still look very simplistic and natural.

7. Eyeshadow

The eyeshadow look is very simple. First, I brighten the inner corners of my eyes with a white shadow (the bottom left shade). After, I apply the bronzer color (the top, left shade) that I used before to shape my face. If you don’t have this palette, any dark brown/dark orange will work. Inspired by one of my favorite YouTubers, applying a warm shade to your blue eyes makes them pop! Even if you don’t have blue eyes, the color gives your eyes a nice warm bronzy effect.

8. Mascara

My favorite mascara is by Peter Thomas Roth. Literally gives the illusion that your lashes are naturally really long and beautiful. The mascara doesn’t make any clumps and stays on the whole day without getting any darkness under your eyes!

Voila, you’re all done! Easy, right? Personally, I don’t enjoy wearing lipstick; however, if you would like to apply it, I recommend a nude shade. I love wearing this makeup on days where I want to feel a little more glammed up. It’s light, beautiful, and makes me feel more confident. Let me know in the comments if you wear makeup or not. If you do, do you prefer wearing natural makeup or more of a full face look?
