Easily Create Trendy & Aesthetic Summer Outfits

Hi cuties and happy Monday!

After two weeks of exams and breakdowns, I am happy to say that the school year is officially over and I can now focus on the things I love, aka blogging. Wow, to be honest, I didn’t think I would come out alive. However, when I did have breaks, I found myself brainstorming and coming up with creative outfits that would be perfect for this summer so I’m super excited for these upcoming weeks!

As it is the first week of summer vacation for me, I wanted to write a blog post about how to make simple, yet trendy summer outfits. I’ve looked at a lot of outfits on Pinterests to get an idea of the new and upcoming trends. As always, please keep in my that my style is very minimalistic, so there a thousand ways to switch up these tricks and using them for your personal style.

Before we begin, I’d like to mention that I have created a fashion Instagram account. Here you’ll be able to see daily fashion & beauty inspo as well as getting to know me more. Make sure to follow me and say that you came from my blog so I can follow you back! Follow me here!

Without further-ado, let’s begin!

So, before creating these outfits I took a quick look on Pinterest, did some research, and made an inspiration board on what seemed to be popular for spring/summer trends. From there, I took inspiration and made a couple of outfits! Here’s what I found:

As I expected there seemed to lots of blues & whites, monochromatic sets, bright yellows & oranges, as well as flowy dresses & skirts. (None of these pictures are mine! If you’d like to pin these pictures, click here for the board I saved them to.)

#1) Monochromatic

When I was doing my daily Pinterest research, I noticed that many outfits that looked extremely put together were always monochromatic. However, for this look, I was curious to see if mix-matching a floral pattern with a plaid pattern would work and I think it did! The light blues are perfect for those hot days so you can stay looking cute without sweating! The addition of the pearl hair clips also add a nice elegant touch to the outfit. I think the outfit looks really cute, what do you think?

#2) Bright Colors for a Pop

Bright Colors

Living in Miami, red is such a popular summer-time color. I love implementing bright colors because it really adds intensity to an outfit. The style of the shirt, similar to a peasant-like top, is very popular these days as well. Pair it with some denim shorts or jeans and you got yourself a really cute, yet casual summer outfit!

#3) Implement Trendy Patterns

Trendy Patterns

Okay, I don’t know about you but I’ve been seeing this white and black spot pattern literally everywhere. However, I’m not complaining as I actually really love it and it fits in my minimalistic style. As you can tell from my Pinterest vision board, there’s a lot of new, trendy patterns going around at the moment and there’s something for every fashion style. So, find something that you love and try it out! You just might a new favorite piece in your wardrobe.

#4) Flowy Pieces

Can you tell I love baby blues? Anyways, I put this outfit together because I wanted something versatile. The dress is very flowy and perfect for those summer beach days, but the sweater is also a great addition for those summer nights. The ribbed white sweater really gives off beach vibes and is definitely something I can see myself wearing in these upcoming months.

Well, that’s it for today’s blog post! Now that school is over, I’ll be trying to post twice each week! I’m really excited for what’s to come and hope you are too! Be sure to comment what you typically wear during the summer and don’t be shy to leave your instagram in the comments so we can follow each other. I love you all and I will see you later this week!

Gros bisous,

  1. All of these looks are so cute!! The monochromatic idea is great, and I love that super popular dotted/leopard pattern. I’ve been having a lot of fun the last week creating summer outfits, and I can’t wait for my classes to finally end next week. Happy summer to you!

    Miles of smiles,
